Comments only, and why
Talksy covers YouTube comments only. YouTube offers no public API for direct messages, so no tool can bring YouTube DMs into an external inbox.
This limitation is worth stating plainly, because it is a property of YouTube rather than of Talksy, and any tool claiming otherwise is describing something else.
Why YouTube comments are their own problem
A video keeps collecting comments long after it stops being new. Unlike a feed post, which is effectively finished within a day, a YouTube video accumulates questions for months — and YouTube Studio presents them in an order that makes the recent ones easy and the older ones invisible.
The result is a channel with a hundred unanswered questions attached to videos that are still bringing in viewers. Nothing about that backlog is urgent on any given day, which is exactly why it never gets cleared.
What Talksy does with them
Talksy classifies every comment by intent — questions, buying signals, complaints, routine engagement, spam — and puts the ones worth answering at the top of the queue regardless of which video they are attached to. A question on a two-year-old tutorial outranks a fresh one-word comment because it is worth more, not because it is newer.
Each comment arrives with a draft written from your channel's own published voice, and a short explanation of how it was classified so you can see what the AI keyed on.
Working through them
Send the draft, edit it, or regenerate — earlier versions are kept as variants you can browse rather than being overwritten. Comments that need no reply are dismissed and leave the queue.
Each comment is shown with the video it was left under, which on YouTube matters a great deal: the same question means different things under a tutorial and under a review.
How comments reach Talksy
Worth knowing, because it is visibly different from the other two platforms: YouTube does not push comments to external tools the way Instagram and Facebook do. There is no webhook. Talksy fetches new comments from YouTube's Data API on a schedule, within the daily request quota Google allocates.
The practical effect is that a YouTube comment appears in your queue shortly after it is posted rather than the instant it is posted. For a platform where the useful backlog is measured in weeks, that is a difference without much consequence — but if you are comparing the two side by side and wondering why Instagram feels immediate and YouTube does not, that is why, and it is a property of the platform rather than of Talksy.
Voice and language
The voice profile is built from your channel's own published replies and descriptions, so drafts use your register rather than a generic one. You can pin a reply language for the connected account; where a comment arrives in a language you have not pinned, Talksy skips the draft instead of answering in the wrong one.
Access, safety and pricing
Talksy connects through YouTube's official API. You grant access through Google's standard authorisation screen and can revoke it at any time; your password is never shared with Talksy, and nothing is published without your approval. If the connection lapses, Talksy marks the channel as needing reconnection rather than quietly stopping.
YouTube comments feed the same queue as your Instagram and Facebook conversations, so the DM side of your community is handled there while YouTube contributes its comments. One connected account per platform, per Talksy account. One plan, €99 per month, two-week free trial.
